This "Refunds & Returns" page describes the conditions and procedures applicable to returns, refunds and the right of withdrawal for purchases made on the Designer Bag Alert website (hereinafter the "Site"), in accordance with French law, in particular articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
This information applies to distance purchases made by consumers. If you are purchasing in a professional capacity, certain rules may differ.
The Process at a Glance
1. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
You have 14 days from receipt of your order to notify us of your decision to withdraw, without having to justify your choice.
After notifying us of your withdrawal, you have 14 days to return the product, unless we indicate otherwise.
2. HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision clearly (for example via the contact method indicated on the "Contact Us" page), specifying at minimum: your name, order reference, and the product(s) concerned.
The withdrawal is deemed exercised on the date your notification is sent.
3. RETURN CONDITIONS
Returned products must be sent back in a condition allowing their resale: clean, undamaged and complete, with any accessories (dust bag, box, certificates, cards, documents) as indicated on the product page, when included.
You may handle the product to the extent necessary to verify its nature, characteristics and proper functioning. However, you may be held liable for any depreciation resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for such verification.
4. PRE-OWNED ITEMS
Products sold on the Site are, unless otherwise stated, pre-owned items. They may show signs of use consistent with the condition indicated on the product page. Such signs of use, when described and/or visible in the photos, do not constitute a defect justifying a return outside the applicable legal framework.
5. RETURN COSTS AND PROCEDURES
Unless otherwise stated, direct return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
We recommend using a tracked shipping method with insurance appropriate to the product's value. In the event of loss or damage during return shipping, liability may depend on the carrier and the coverage purchased.
6. REFUND
In the event of a valid withdrawal, we will refund all payments received for the returned product(s), including standard delivery charges (where applicable), within 14 days from the date we are informed of your decision to withdraw.
We may defer the refund until we have received the product back or until you have provided proof of shipment, whichever comes first.
The refund is made using the same payment method used for the original order, unless you expressly agree to an alternative method.
7. NON-CONFORMING OR DAMAGED PRODUCT UPON RECEIPT
Upon receipt of your package, we invite you to check the condition of the packaging and the product. In the event of any apparent anomaly (damaged package, missing product, deteriorated product), we recommend noting reservations with the carrier and retaining any useful evidence (photos, packaging).
You should contact us as soon as possible so that we can advise you on the appropriate course of action.
8. LEGAL WARRANTIES
Independently of the right of withdrawal, you benefit from applicable legal warranties, in particular the legal warranty of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code), under the conditions provided by law.
9. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Certain exclusions to the right of withdrawal may apply in cases provided for by article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code (for example products made to your specifications, unsealed for hygiene reasons when they cannot be returned, etc.). These exclusions are assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the product and the circumstances of the sale.
